The QRS complex can be thought of as having there components: 1. The initial portion of the QRS complex, the first 10-20 ms (0.01-0.02 seconds), represents depolarization of the interventricular septum. It is activated by a branch from the left bundle and its depolarization, which spreads from the left side of the septum to the right, is unopposed by any other forces.
