The same ECG is shown again here. There are no changes to suggest right ventricular hypertrophy. The cause of the heart murmur and the ECG findings was a large left to right shunt at the atrial level, an atrial septal defect. There was no increase in either the pulmonary artery or the right ventricular pressure.
