In the example cited above and shown again here, the QRS complex is 11 mm positive in lead I and 3 mm negative in lead III. These points can be located on their respective leads in the triaxial system. As shown here, the lines drawn perpendicular to each of these points will intersect and the perpendicular drawn from this intersecting point, to the lead II axis, will intersect it at 8 mm positive.
