6.5.20

[THIS WILL BE A NEW FRAME AND WILL REQUIRE A NEW GRAPHIC,WHICH WILL BE THE SAME BOX AS THAT IN 6.5.18 WITH AN ADDITIONAL COLUMN AND AN ADDITIONAL LINE (AGE, GENDER)}

Early repolarization is most common in male adolescents and young adults. It is thought to occur more frequently in those of African descent and in athletes. The electrocardiographic changes are most common in the mid precordial leads and decrease with increasing age. The ST segment elevation is typically less than that seen with ischemia and the T wave amplitude is typically greater than that associated with pericarditis. These changes are contrasted to those of acute ischemia and pericarditis.
