Although the changes of early repolarization occur most frequently in younger males, they may occur in females and occasionally in the elderly. The ECG shown on the left was recorded in 1997 from an 84 year old female without known heart disease. It demonstrates features that are characteristic of early repolarization and is identical to the ECG on the right that was recorded from the same patient 13 years earlier
