( THIS WILL BE A NEW FRAME –THE GRAPHIC IS THE TABLE) Most recently (1992) Molloy et al (M et al) (J AM Coll Card. 20:1180, 1992) modified the Cornell Criteria to include QRS duration. They multiplied the sum of the R in aVL and the S in V3 by the QRS duration. A product of >2436 mm.sec was required for the diagnosis of LVH. These 4 sets of criteria are summarized here. {THIS IS THE GRAPHIC--INSERT UP ARROW BEFORE BP GOLD YEAR # SUBJECTS AGE(Years) DIAGNOSIS STANDARD S&L-1949 147 PATIENTS 35.1 BP, AOR STENOSIS X-RAY 151 CONTROLS COARCTATION R&E-1968 90 PATIENTS >15 BP, COR DISEASE AUTOPSY C et al-1985 414 – LEARNING 49 NOT STATED ECHO 129 – TEST 49 M et al-1992 95 WITH LVH 60 BP, COR DISEASE AUTOPSY 115 WITHOUT LVH CARDIOMYOPATHY
