1.8.3

A unipolar electrode consists of a single recording electrode and an indifferent electrode which is placed far enough away from the source of electrical activity so as not to be influenced by it.  When the recording electrode is placed over  a myocarfdial fiber and the fiber is stimulated, the waveform recorded is referred to as a unipolar electrogram.
