Aberrant Ventricular Conduction

  • Atrial Premature Beats
  • Atrial Fibrillation
  • Atrial Flutter
  • Critical Changes in Cycle Length
    • Tachycardia Dependent
    • Bradycardia Dependent

Aberrant ventricular conduction, the term used above in association with the tachycardia and bradycardia dependent intraventricular conduction disturbances, may be defined as a functional abnormality in intraventricular conduction. The term is used most frequently to characterize the abnormal intraventricular conduction that is associated with atrial premature beats when the RR interval is suddenly shortened, and with atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter when variable degrees of block at the AV node produce beat-to-beat changes in the RR interval.
