The ECG shown here is from a 22 year old female whose chief complaint was frequent palpitations. Physical examination revealed a fairly tall (5’8”), lean (121 lbs) female with a grade 2/6 late-systolic murmur (LSM) initiated by a mid-systolic sharp clicking sound(SC). The murmur and systolic click, similar to that reproduced here, were heard best at the apex. What is your interpretation of these findings?
