The electrocardiographic criteria for the diagnosis of complete right bundle branch block, as recommended by the World health Organization (WHO) and the International Society and Federation of Cardiology (ISFC) in 1985 are shown here.
Complete Right Bundle Branch Block:
- QRS Duration Equal to or Greater than 120ms in Adults and Greater than 100ms in Children ages 4-16 year.
- rsr’, rsR’ or rSR’ in Leads V1and/or V2. The R’ (or r’) Deflection is usually wider than the initial R wave
- S Wave of Greater Duration than the R Wave, or Greater than 40 ms in Leads 1 and V6 (in adults)
- Normal Time to Peak of R wave in Lead V1
- Normal initial and mid portions of the QRS complex
