The criteria proposed by Sgarbossa et al are highly specific but have a low sensitivity, i.e. the absence of these findings does not exclude the likelihood of ischemia/infarction. Other criteria have been proposed to facilitate the diagnosis of myocardial infarction in the presence of left bundle branch block and they are shown here. However, the sensitivity of these criteria is so low as to limit their usefulness.
