The left bundle passes through the upper portion of the muscular interventricular septum, emerging in the left ventricle between the right and non-coronary cusps of the aortic valve. The importance of this anatomy is that diseases which affect the aortic valve, such as calcific aortic stenosis, may also affect the left bundle.
