As shown earlier in this chapter, electrical artifacts, may simulate atrial fibrillation and flutter. If they are large enough, they may also simulate ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation. This occurs most often in patients with ambulatory ECG recorders because the patients are more active and dislodgement of the leads is more prone to occur.
