The three simultaneously recorded leads shown here also provide an example of atrial fibrillation with 2 wide complex beats. Both wide complex beats have coupling intervals that are quite similar to the preceding RR intervals. Indeed, in the second of the wide complex beats (*), the coupling interval is longer than the preceding RR interval. These beats have none of the characteristics of aberrantly conducted beats and are much more likely to be ventricular premature beats.
